Saturday, December 15th | 10:00am-12:30pm
First Christian Reformed Church | MAP
Join us for the VBC’s first ever Singable Saturday. Created from a love of sharing singing with our community, we invite you to join us for this free series. You’ll get the chance to sing major choral masterworks with Maestro Leslie Dala and pianist Stephen Smith, alongside new and old friends. Invite your friends! No experience required, and if you don’t read music you’re welcome to come and listen or sing along to the best of your abilities. We’ll provide enough scores and snacks for everyone, you just need to bring your singing voice!
Light refreshments will be served and donations are welcome. Any donations received will be donated to a local music focused charity such as Performing Arts Lodges Vancouver, ArtsCan or Music Heals. This is as much about the joy of community music making as it is about giving back to the community that has supported us for so many years.
The December edition will be Handel’s famous choral masterwork, The Messiah!
This event is free and does not require tickets or pre-registration. Simply come on the day of the show – doors will open at 9:30am.
In lieu of admission fees, we will be collecting donations to benefit PAL retirement lodge in Vancouver.
PAL Vancouver’s mission is to provide longstanding members of Metro Vancouver’s performing arts professions with affordable housing within a vibrant and creative community setting. PAL does not receive any government funding to operate—relying instead on rental revenues and the generous support of our donors and friends.
