After a tremendously successful collaboration on Mahler’s 8th Symphony last season, we are delighted to be joining West Coast Symphony once again this year.
Join us for a piece well beloved by many of our singers, Vaughan Williams “A Sea Symphony.” Not heard live in Vancouver since 2004, this is a rare opportunity to hear this sumptuous work.
The concert opens with WCS’s principal conductor, Bujar Llapaj, presenting Benjamin Britten’s Sinfonia da Requiem. This piece was composed during World War II, and marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice of November 11th, 1918.
Admission to all West Coast Symphony concerts is by donation at the door.
