The Hallowed Gospel, Gloriously Illuminated.

Celebrated as a pinnacle accomplishment in the history of classical music, Bach’s ‘Great Passion’ has been gripping hearts and uplifting minds for nearly three centuries. Composed for a Good Friday service in 1727, the staggering masterwork overflows with sweeping harmonies and colossal power – relating St. Matthew’s account of Christ’s betrayal, trial, and execution to some of the richest, most profoundly moving music ever set to page.

“Standing as one of the pillars of Western sacred music, it is at once monumental and intimate, deeply sorrowful and powerful.” – NPR
