Vancouver Bach Choir & Early Music Vancouver present Talk Bach: A Conversation with Leslie Dala and Matthew White, March 9, 7:30pm at Hodson Manor (1254 W 7th Ave). Two leading figures of the local classical music community will lead an illuminating discussion on the life and work of J. S. Bach. White, EMV’s Artistic Director, begins the informal dialogue with a fascinating look into the Baroque visionary’s career, influences, and innovations. The Vancouver Bach Choir announces Kathleen Allan as the new assistant conductor of the Vancouver Bach Choir adult program.
Kathleen Allan is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s composition program and a previous conductor of the Vancouver Bach Choir children’s program. She now returns to Vancouver with a wealth of new musical experience, including a master’s degree in Choral Conducting from Yale University. Please see her biography here for more details.
