The Family of Choirs
In 1984 the Vancouver Bach Choir formed a special children’s project, to bring the benefits of singing to young people across the city. Over the years this has grown into a family of choirs offering vocal training and choral experience to children from age 4 and up:
- Piccolini – new in September 2011! Ages 4 & 5
- Piccolo – Grades 1 & 2
- Juniors – Grades 3 & 4
- Chorales – Grades 5-8
- Chorus – Very challenging choir for unchanged voices, approx. Grades 6 & up.
- Vancouver Bach Youth Choir – Girls enter at Grade 11, boys as their voices change. Continues into post-secondary level.
- Sarabande – A chamber choir of returning ‘grads’, plus current Vancouver Bach Youth Choir members and ‘outside’ applicants.
